Lettered Street

What You’ll Fall in Love With.

Lettered Street's coveted charm has attracted many of its residents. The earliest settlers were attracted to the area in the 1850s due to Whatcom creek’s potential to power their sawmills. In a recent historical survey of the neighborhood, it was found that the majority of homes had fallen into some category of historical significance.

Market.

Large, older, well-maintained homes predominate in the northern part of the area, with some newer homes and small apartment buildings scattered throughout the residential sections. The majority of the Architectural style are Craftsman style homes.

What to Expect.

Expect a diverse community, with mixes of residential, small apartment buildings, and offices in older homes with some parks and schools scattered throughout.

Real Talk.

F Street may eventually have too much traffic to accommodate with only two lanes, luckily the street was designed to one day accommodate four lanes although the city hopes for an alternative since the extra space is used as off-street parking for many of its residents.
