History

Originally home to the Semiahmoo tribe, Blaine was first settled in the mid-19th century during the Fraser River Gold Rush. Blaine was known for its canneries and logging industries. Blaine is now home to over 5,000 residents and is a popular location with its northern boundary ending at the Canadian-U.S. Border.
