Birch Bay
Beach Side Community with Year-Round Recreation.
History
Birch Bay originally got its name in 1792 by Archibald Menzies during the four-and-a-half-year Vancouver Expedition. Menzies noted a large number of Birch Trees and changed the name to reflect those characteristics. Birch Bay is now home to over 8,000 residents and is a popular location for vacationers and Canadians!
Birch Bay is known for its beachside cottages and well-maintained condos along its Idyllic shores. Homes here come in all different shapes and sizes. Along Birch Bay Drive you will find a mix of single-family, condo, and multi-family properties, and scattered in between are popular restaurants such as the Bay Breeze Restaurant and CJ’s Beach House.
